V sobotu 18. dubna se v Aši uskuteční pietní akt u památníku amerických vojáků. Součástí bude předání pamětních listů k čestnému občanství, které město udělilo padlým osvoboditelům. Město při té příležitosti vyměnilo i pamětní desku. Obsahovala totiž jména i těch, kteří válku přežili, zatímco jiná tam chyběla. K uctění památky a předání listin zve město i veřejnost.
